These workouts will supercharge your Martial Arts.
Many strength-training regimens consist primarily of bodybuilding exercises such as: barbell curls, bench presses, or machine exercises. Standard bodybuilding exercises are great for increasing muscle mass but they do not have a significant sport specific transfer to Martial Arts.
We believe in training the entire body to work as one. That’s true of all of the Marital arts we teach at Cville BJJ. Students who wish to enhance their training potential our conditioning classes are top notch. We use a variety of kettlebells, stability balls, medicine balls, gymnastic rings, battling ropes and a bouldering wall to create a fantastic circuit workout that focuses on developing sport specific attributes for Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.
This class is currently on Saturday mornings 11am – 12pm. It is right before our 2-hour open mat. Doing these two classes back-to-back is a great way to build grappling endurance. A specific attribute that needs to be cultivated!
